Diversion recommendation to the Salierbrücke

The Salier bridge, which connects Speyer with Baden-Wuerttemberg over the river Rhine, is going to be renovated from the 21st January 2019 for approximately 26 months and is hence only accessible for rescue vehicles.

Commuters, visitors and residents living in the surrounding areas, which usually come to Speyer from Baden-Wuerttemberg by car or motorbike, can use the following detour recommendations in order to reach Speyer as easy as before:

The city Speyer recommends everyone who travels via the motorway A6 to change to the A61 at the interchange “Hockenheim” and then to take the exit 63 in order to take the B9 towards Speyer. Please follow B9 towards Speyer/Landau and change to B39 at the interchange “B9/B39” in order to reach the center of Speyer. You can park your vehicle at the “Festplatz”.

Travelers coming from southern Baden-Wuerttemberg can take the B35 and cross the Rhine bridge near Germersheim. Please follow again the B9 towards Speyer/Landau and change to B39 at the interchange “B9/B39” in order to reach the center of Speyer.

It is also very easy to get to Speyer by public transport. From main station Mannheim or Karlsruhe you can get direct train rides to Speyer.
