Swimming in the "Bademaxx"
Whoever wants to go swimming in Speyer should not miss the "Bademaxx". Its expansive layout offers visitors both outdoor and indoor swimming pools. All in all, there are almost 30,000 sq. ft. of water surface in which to swim, cavort and have fun!
Kids and grownups alike enjoy the adventure pool which is equipped with diving platform, slides and wave-maker. The expansive outside grounds provide opportunities to relax and while away the hours, as does the relaxation gallery in the bath house.
Boat rides on the Old Rhine
Speyer is situated on the Rhine, one of the most heavily traveled waterways in the world. Here, a boat trip has a long and significant tradition.
Boat trips on the Old Rhine near Speyer offer the purest form of pleasure and enable the visitor to experience nature at its impressive best. The undisturbed landscape of pastures will fascinate you! Here the Rhine will show to its most beautiful advantage. Rest and relaxation, varied landscapes with undisturbed pastures with lots of flora and flauna - what more can one ask?
During your round-trip on the Rhine, your Captain will identify and explain the flora and fauna in the streams leading to the Rhine, point out interesting sights along the shore, tell you about the Rhine itself with its tradition of shipping and its straightening by Gottfried Tulla. Be there when the captain calls, "Cast Off!"
Powerboat and Jetski
Jetski - that makes one think of vacation, sun, water and beach. The spray in your face, the jetboat hopping across the waves, its driver getting soaking wet. The person who, on a hot day, is underway on the Rhine easily forgets about time when it's that much fun riding the waves at high speed. And the speeds are enormous: some models reach peak speeds of up to 100 km/hr (60 mph). For those inveterate enthusiasts, the new 215 hp turbo-charged Jetboat with accelerations comparable to those of a Ferrari provides the feeling that you are flying.
